Let me begin this with a quick but exciting: Did you have a great Christmas or whichever Holiday you celebrate? I truly hope so, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Now…

There are moments when we tend to become distracted by the whirlwind of life itself. We get caught in the storm of challenges, and it feels as if we are pulled in every direction except the direction of our higher calling. What is our higher calling?

Well, I don’t know what you may believe-but, I define my higher calling as what God ultimately created me to do with the time He has granted me on earth. Oftentimes, we spend too much time and energy living as only a fragment of who we are created to be. We give so much of our thoughts and power away to things and people who may not necessarily be deserving of it. Let me ask you this: Have you ever found yourself standing in the midst of a negative situation or person, one that is demeaning and sucks the happiness and peace out of you? If your answer to that is yes, then let me ask you this: Do you feel you deserve that? Do you feel that is what you were created for, to be belittled and demeaned? Well, you were never created to feel small because you’re not small. No matter what is happening around you, you are royalty. There may be situations and people who may try to convince you otherwise, but you are most definitely royalty. You are important and without you, the world would be missing a key element that only you possess.

You were created to be something so special, without you someone somewhere will feel an emptiness that only you could fill for them. That is your higher calling. In some way, we all have something grand to offer. We have a super-power of sorts, and it develops in stages. It’s just like going through school and being promoted. Our purpose was never meant to stay in the same grade, that’s why we oftentimes become restless and unsettled. It’s time to go higher. Even if you don’t necessarily find yourself in a negative situation, it’s possible that you still feel an eagerness to do more. That happens. Sometimes life can be going great, and you have things that you’re truly proud of-but there is something else that you feel is out there for you to do. Your higher calling is about your individual growth, maturity, wisdom, and life path-but it is also about your ability to apply everything you have learned to be a Blessing to other people. As you grow, as you mature, as you experience different adventures and levels of life—there is someone waiting for your story. Someone is waiting for your testimony. Someone is asking a question that you have the answer for. If at all possible, stop giving your power away to demeaning circumstances that would rather see you stagnant, miserable, and under its negative control. Negative energy thrives off of the misery of others. Detach yourself as much as possible and live your life as you were created to live it! 2020 is the year of our Higher Calling. I’ll meet you at the top!
